There are a lot of misspelled or mangled English signs in Iran, but I didn't have my usual impulses to be snarky about them. First of all, I was grateful that they were there at all, since I can recognize exactly two written words in Farsi, Iran ایران and women زنان, and while they were very useful for remembering what country I was in and identifying which bathroom I should use, they didn't get me very far in museums or shops.
But the little handwritten t inserted so carefully (second line from the bottom) in this sign at the fire temple made me smile -- changing immorality to the obviously intended immortality. An important distinction indeed.
