This lodge is much larger than the Stanley and Livingstone, where our group was the only guests except for one other couple. It's also more rustic, and there are no longer electric fences to keep the animals out. This warthog was rolling contentedly in a mud puddle on one of the lawns, and there was a family of mongoose right outside the door of my room.
And when I went back to my room before the afternoon game drive because I'd forgotten my binoculars, this monkey tried to sneak into my room and got very upset with me when I blocked his way.
Fortunately I'd been warned.
