Botswana sunset

At the end of the game drive, we stopped to watch another showstopper African sunset.

Elephants were taking a last drink from the sand bars by the river. Marabou storks were perched in the trees, looking much fiercer in silhouette than they did on ground level by daylight, like some mythological creature with little regard for humans.

And the crickets let loose, with what sounded like thirty or forty different species all singing at once, each in a different key, making a loud, beautiful, Botswanan music.
