This is the view from my room at the Hotel Skeppsholmen on a spectacularly beautiful Swedish morning.
I was as usual not in the most appreciative state of mind, after a sleepless flight and a very long trip in from the airport in Monday morning rush hour traffic, but looking out at this view, grass and trees sloping down to the water, Södermalm just visible on the other side, I thought that maybe I wasn't so tired after all, and if I just took a shower I could go out exploring right away.
And three hours later when I woke from my unexpected nap, I did just that.
