I am a native in this world And think in it as a native thinks

Sometimes I feel I've got to get away

Just across the street from Tivoli, I was trying to admire the spire of the Rådhus, or City Hall without getting trampled by the thousands of tourists. On the H.C. Andersen Boulevard side of the building, a little sandwich board in front of an alley pointed to something called the Rådhushaven.

A haven sounded wonderful, so I followed the sign. And it led to this perfect little park, an oasis in the midst of the insane hustle bustle on the other side of those old brick walls. One other woman wandered through with a camera; other than that I had the place entirely to myself except for a few magpies hanging out around the fountain.
