Skeppsholmen has three of Stockholm's best museums, so when the drizzle that drove me from Skansen turned into steady rain, I decided to spend what was left of the day at the modern art museum, just up the hill behind the hotel.
The permanent collection is small but good, with lots of interesting pieces and a smaller than usual number of the kind of overly conceptual ART installations that sets my teeth on edge. They also had a special exhibit of Yoko Ono's art, with some of her films, as well as video of some of her early live performances.
I liked the contrast between the very modern interior of the museum, and the view of Stockholm, framed by old fashioned wood, through the windows.
