Ten hours sleep and a thorough investigation of the breakfast buffet had their usual improving effect, and Lisbon had quadrupled in charm by the time I went out today. (The fact that it was at least fifteen degrees cooler was also a plus.)
I bought a two-day pass good for not only the hop-on, hop-off double-decker tourist buses, but also all the city trams, buses and funiculars, and I spent the day riding from one end of the city to the other, mostly on the top of the double-decker bus. I didn't mind looking like a tourist -- I am a tourist -- even when the gray skies turned drizzly. It was fun riding along with the wind whipping my hair, and it's a wonderful vantage point for taking pictures.
