Camels have such expressive faces -- expressive voices too. Cats are excellent complainers, but for expressing complete disgruntlement you really need a couple of grouchy camels.
Paris was the only place I went on this trip that didn't have camels, at least not that I encountered, and it did feel sometimes that every time I turned around someone was trying to get me to ride one of them. Having been there, and most dramatically done that, I declined. They're a lot cuter when I'm safely on the ground.
