Sunday bird blogging
Circling back to Alice Springs, where these were the pigeons strolling on the grounds of the Royal Flying Doctor Service building -- demonstrating yet again, the strange magic of the Outback, where you don't just have pigeons hanging around your parking lot, you have Australian crested pigeons, with red eyes and Mohawks and multi-colored iridescent wings. (You'll have to click to enlarge to get a better look at them; like the more mundane pigeons I'm used to, they didn't want to let me get close enough for decent photographs.)
