Astronomy Tuesday
Aurora borealis
The icy sky at night
Here's the Big Dipper (or the Plough for my English friends) as seen last night in Hella, Iceland.
Also, the Northern lights! Sadly, I have to confess that our cameras saw them better than we could; our eyes saw only a green glow so faint you weren't sure whether it was really there or not, or if you were just seeing things because it was really cold and really late and the desire to go to bed was starting to outweigh any desire to see auroras.
But it was there. I saw it. Mission accomplished.
