Greetings from St. John's, Take 2
The entrance to St. John's harbor, seen in evening light yesterday.
I resolved my technical issues, and there will be photos when time and wi-fi allow. Tonight the wi-fi is barely two bars, and after two long bus rides across parts of St. John's tourists rarely see, I'm also pretty feeble. I did not expect that the highlight of my first day in Newfoundland would be a Best Buy.

Picture postcard
The small lighthouse at Punta Suarez.
Sometimes I got so involved in taking closeups of every bird, reptile and mammal that I saw, I had to remind myself to back up and take pictures of the landscape as well. Espanola is small but even so it's rare to see nothing manmade in any direction, except for the lighthouse and pillar in this picture. No one lives there except the animals.
