Obviously, much of our time in Tehran has been spent in museums -- a country that is 2500 years old collects a lot of stuff. Unlike most of the stuff I collect, however, every piece is priceless. And beautiful.
This is a relief from Persepolis, in the early days of the Persian Empire, around the 5th century B.C. A courtier is bringing his hand to his lips to show respect for the king.
