Stockholm, take 2

Here's a more typical view of this most lovely city.

My hotel is named for its location, Skeppsholmen, one of the smaller islands that make up Stockholm. The name means "the ships island"and that initial sk is one of the many ways to spell the most impossible to pronounce sound in Swedish, kind of a cross between the English sh in ship, and the wh in whew. So although I can tell you what Skeppsholmen means, I can't pronounce it in any way that a native would recognize.

I didn't want to wander very far once I finally got going, so I circumnavigated the island, taking pictures of the boats and the sea birds and the views of other islands across the water.
