I fell asleep early last night -- that soothing, gently rocking ship's motion is better than Ambien -- and woke up a couple of hours later because the moon was shining directly into my room as it set. The light flooding over the waves was like a painting and I was very tempted to get out of bed and try to capture the moment with my camera. Then I came to my senses and went back to sleep.
The sunrise
did get me up at an ungodly hour this morning as we sailed into the Oslo fjord. There's a reason sunrises and sunsets are such a photographic cliche.
